Lucy Morgan

Lucy came to live with us from the Nebraska Humane Society. We had another dog at the time named Frosty and they became good pals. Lucy was always the queen bee of the house and her nickname was "the little bitch" because sometimes she could be a little bitch and would show her teeth, but 95% of the time she was the sweetest, most loving little dog you could ever ask for. She loved to dig trenches in the back pasture. She loved to go on long walks down the trail and visit her neighbor friends Jim and Judy who always gave her lots of treats. She loved squeaky toys and when she was younger she played fetch with them. Lucy would show her pretty teeth to the neighbors George and Vicki whenever they came over to let her outside if I was going to be gone. We used to laugh about it all the time. She loved laying on the top of the couch and looking out the window. The UPS and Fed Ex people were dire enemies and she would bark her fool head off at them. She survived jumping off a deck that was SO HIGH with just a slight limp, and came back home like it was no big deal. She loved all types of treats and would watch Bob eat every bite of every meal just hoping for any scrap he wanted to feed her. One of the funniest things about Lucy was that no matter what I laid on the floor, whether it was a towel, a piece of clothing, even a piece of paper, she would go lay on top of it as though it was her special bed spot. She loved sleeping in bed with us and stretching out like the whole bed was just for her. Lucy was my friend, my companion, my little dog, and I will miss her terribly. It's just not fair that dogs don't live longer. May she rest in peace and join all the other beloved pets and people in my life that have passed away.
